What Is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a non-invasive therapy that stimulates reflexes in the feet and hands, which corresponds to every part, gland and organ of the body. Gentle pressure is applied to the soles and upper areas of the feet in a specific pattern that reflects the positions of the organs in the body. Imbalances within the body can be detected by sensitiveities in the feet. All areas of the feet are included so the experience is holistic - the body is treated as a whole not as a selection of symptoms. Reflexologists are able to help the body to heal itself by correcting any imbalances that can occur through illness, accident, disease or even lifestyle. It is a safe, natural and gentle therapy that can be used on anybody, including the elderly, the infirmed and babies.

Life has seasons, and through these changes we sometimes get "clogged". Imagine a stream that flows clean and pure. Autumn comes with her colorful leaves. These leaves fall and drop into the stream. Usually these leaves don't cause problems, and they get carried along. But when the leaves get buried, build up and left alone they can redirect the stream, slow it down, and even stop it with a dam that will lead to decay. The reflexology session clears the leaves.

Reflexology can benefit many ailments and illnesses, both acute and chronic. It has been used for the improvement of general health though it has been found to be highly effective at relieving: stress, fatigue, sleep disorders, digestive disorders, constipation, menstrual problems, high blood pressure, headaches and migraines, sinus problems, arthritis, allergies, back and neck pains, and some skin conditions.

How often should you get treatment? The answer to this varies - we all respond differently. A body that has spent a long time "ill" will not heal over night. The body will respond - it has been "awakened", give it time you will feel the subtle changes and amye clarke Reflexologysee the change within... try a session with me... you will enjoy the relation that comes with it - which is heavenly!
